About the Role

ENT and Allergy Associates, LLP and Hümi are seeking a self-motivated, people-friendly Refund Specialist for their Corporate office. This role is crucial for managing patient refunds and ensuring accurate financial processing.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient refunds received from various teams for approval by the Department Director.
• Process refunds through Refund Manager and process all patient credit card refunds through Phreesia.
• Work patient credit reports monthly for investigation and resolution.
• Maintain and update the refund spreadsheet for department review.
• Forward patient refund checks for all required signatures (EEO, CFO, or COO), with two signatures needed for checks over $2500.
• Mail all approved and signed refund checks, verifying each check is signed.
• Scan and file mailed refunds in ICS.
• Process credit card terminal payments.
• Check the AR fax server for credit card payments and post accordingly.
• Handle $0 payments by giving them to the assistant manager.
• Provide coverage for absent refund specialists, including Insurance Refunds (cross-training).
• Suggest process improvements when applicable.

Requirements

• Must be very detail-oriented.

• Previous experience in a medical industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of Phreesia is a plus.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
