About the Role
An experienced Occupational Therapist is needed for Richmond Council's Adult Social Services team. This fully remote agency role involves providing Duty OT cover and managing Occupational Therapy referrals for adults with complex needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide Duty Occupational Therapy cover Monday to Friday
- Screen and prioritise incoming Occupational Therapy referrals
- Assess complex cases and determine appropriate interventions
- Provide specialist advice regarding major adaptations and moving and handling
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies to ensure timely responses to referrals
- Maintain accurate, compliant, and up-to-date case records
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy
- Current HCPC registration
- Significant experience within Adult Social Services
- Strong knowledge of major adaptations and moving and handling
- Experience managing complex cases independently
- Excellent communication, assessment, and decision-making skills
