About the Role
Real Chemistry is seeking an Account Manager to join their growing team. This role involves acting as the primary day-to-day client contact, managing relationships, and overseeing the delivery of medium-sized projects. The Account Manager will also be responsible for managing project execution, coaching junior team members, and ensuring effective project delivery in collaboration with the account lead.
Responsibilities
- Act as day-to-day client contact, providing regular status updates and responding to queries.
- Manage client expectations regarding timelines and project scope.
- Take client briefs and communicate them clearly to team members, implementing realistic project plans.
- Manage the day-to-day account operations, including internal team meetings and workflow.
- Review content developed by junior team members to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Oversee task delegation and status reports to ensure all team actions are completed.
- Take ownership of medium-sized client projects, ensuring delivery within budget and agreed timeframes.
- Demonstrate understanding of client needs, strategy, and brand in all interactions.
- Develop written content such as briefing documents.
- Review work from junior team members, ensuring content is accurate and high-quality.
- Identify areas for growth within existing programs and share new ideas proactively.
- Participate in new business efforts, including research and presenting.
- Maintain awareness of junior team members' professional development through regular check-ins.
- Develop coaching, delegation, and briefing skills to upskill and inspire junior team members.
- Buddy new Sales Account Executives/Account Managers.
- Support account lead with financial management, including Salesforce opportunities, invoicing, and forecasting.
- Develop accurate project budgets, reflecting on past projects and gathering cost quotes.
- Manage project budgets, alerting the account lead to potential scope creep and additional budget needs.
- Provide input into the resourcing process by sharing project requirements.
- Complete timesheets and expense claims accurately and on time.
- Participate in internal initiatives that contribute to the agency's culture and development.
- Stay informed about the medical communications and pharma industries, client companies, and therapy areas.
- Reflect industry developments and innovations in work and share ideas internally.

- Ability to develop project scopes and vendor contracts.
- Excellent business communication skills, including presentation and writing.
- High energy and ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, growing, and evolving environment.
