About the Role
Monzo is seeking engineers to design and build its in-house banking platform, contributing to products customers use daily, underlying infrastructure, security, payments, finance, customer operations, financial crime, and data. Engineers collaborate across disciplines to solve interesting challenges and create a bank customers want.
Responsibilities
- Design and build the in-house banking platform.

- Contribute to products customers use daily.
- Work on underlying infrastructure, security, payments, finance, customer operations, financial crime, and data.
Requirements
- Strong experience working on the backend of a technology product.
- Product mindset: care about customer outcomes and make data-informed decisions.
- Comfortable working in a team that deals with ambiguity.
- Interest in distributed systems and writing resilient software.
- Some experience with strongly-typed languages (Go, Java, C, Scala etc.).
- Willingness to learn and grow with the company.
