About the Role

The Senior Manager, Business Development drives strategic growth, manages partnerships, and identifies new business opportunities to accelerate revenue and market expansion for Precor at Peloton. This role partners with Sales, Operations, Marketing, Finance, and Executive Leadership to build and execute business development strategies that strengthen the company’s competitive position and support long-term objectives. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented leader with a strong track record of sourcing, negotiating, and managing complex partnerships, developing go-to-market strategies, and delivering measurable business outcomes. This individual combines strategic thinking with operational execution and thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute business development strategies that support company growth objectives, revenue targets, and market expansion initiatives for the commercial business unit.
  • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize new partnership opportunities, distribution channels, and strategic alliances.
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and industry trend assessments to identify emerging opportunities and risks.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of strategic partnership and growth opportunities.
  • Lead the full lifecycle of strategic partnerships, including sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, contracting, and ongoing relationship management.
  • Establish and maintain executive-level relationships with key external stakeholders, customers, vendors, and industry partners.
  • Negotiate complex commercial agreements that align with organizational goals and deliver long-term value.
  • Collaborate with the partnership management team to monitor partnership performance and develop strategies to maximize mutual business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Sales leadership to identify opportunities to increase market penetration and expand customer acquisition efforts.
  • Develop business cases and growth models to evaluate new market opportunities, service offerings, and partnership initiatives.
  • Drive initiatives that increase revenue, customer engagement, and market share.
  • Support strategic planning efforts through forecasting, opportunity assessment, and business performance analysis.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate partnership effectiveness and business development success.
  • Analyze performance data and provide actionable insights to leadership.
  • Prepare and present business reviews, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies.
  • Assessed embedded system trends for applicability to product requirements and objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in business development, strategic partnerships, sales, corporate development, marketing, or related functions.
  • Demonstrated success identifying, negotiating, and managing strategic partnerships that drive measurable business results.
  • Experience developing and executing growth strategies within a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience building business cases, forecasts, and ROI analyses.
  • Exceptional negotiation, relationship management, and influencing skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, including experience presenting to executive leadership.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Experience within hospitality, commercial gyms, facilities management, procurement, B2B services, or related industries.
  • 3+ years of leadership or people management experience.
  • Experience managing national or enterprise-level partnerships and contracts.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional strategic initiatives.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, business intelligence tools, and partnership performance analytics.
  • Experience supporting market expansion, mergers and acquisitions, or corporate growth initiatives.
