About the Role
Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain solar systems and associated equipment. Collaborate with the Asset Management team, clients, and vendors to ensure timely and professional completion of investigations and repairs.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair issues related to solar panels and associated equipment according to codes, laws, and company procedures.
- Comprehend plans, specifications, technical documents, and contracts to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and project specifications.
- Communicate professionally with customers, providing product knowledge and scope of work.
- Maintain open communication with supervisory personnel regarding job activities and ensure occupational health and safety.
- Provide daily logs, photos, updates, and reports using a mobile phone or tablet.
- Perform daily job site work completion and reviews, ensuring quality control.
- Maintain an organized job site and/or working environment.
- Collaborate with the Asset Management team, colleagues, and subcontractors to achieve company objectives.
- Maintain current knowledge of uniform building codes and inspection processes.
- Maintain current and valid certifications as required.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the Solar Industry or 3 years of experience in the Electrical Field.
- OSHA 30 certification.
- Ability to work in a diverse environment with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work effectively on multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with company-issued laptop for diagnostics and accessing web-based monitoring platforms.
- Extensive understanding of construction site practices, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in grammar and spelling.
- Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English.
- Ability to maintain a professional and organized working environment, demonstrating ethical practices and sound judgment.
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
