About the Role
Creature Comforts Pet Resort is seeking a dependable, skilled, and detail-oriented Building Maintenance Technician to maintain its two pet care facilities. This role is crucial for ensuring buildings, grounds, and equipment are safe, functional, and attractive.
Responsibilities
- Perform general building repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Conduct drywall, painting, carpentry, and minor plumbing and electrical repairs.
- Repair fences, gates, kennels, and buildings.
- Handle landscaping, lawn care, mulching, and seasonal grounds maintenance.
- Manage snow removal and ice management during winter months.
- Maintain and perform minor repairs on equipment.
- Conduct routine building inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Identify and correct safety hazards.
- Maintain OSHA-conscious, safe working environments.
- Assist with facility improvement projects.
- Respond to maintenance requests.
Requirements
- Experience in general building maintenance and repair.
- Knowledge of carpentry, drywall, painting, plumbing, and basic electrical work.
- Experience operating landscaping and snow removal equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical work indoors and outdoors in all seasons.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation between both facilities.
- Comfortable working around dogs of all breeds and sizes.
