About the Role

The Head of Integration will architect and scale the process of how their portfolio companies integrate and operate tuck-in acquisitions. This is a high-impact role reporting directly to leadership, collaborating closely with CEOs and executives of portfolio companies. The integration process is cross-functional, spanning legal, finance, operations, and technology, and the Head of Integration will own the process from term sheet signing through the first six months post-close. Building trust with owners of selling companies and their teams is crucial for driving satisfaction and references, with a focus on client retention and minimizing disruption.

Responsibilities

  • Own the integration of every acquired property management firm from term sheet signing through six months post-close.
  • Establish and drive to completion a checklist and timeline for every acquisition.
  • Quarterback workstreams across legal, finance, property management operations, HR, and software vendors.
  • Run post-integration reviews to verify business operations and surface support gaps.
  • Build trust with owners of selling firms, establishing credibility with portfolio company leaders.
  • Manage relationships with employees and customers of acquired firms to ensure retention.
  • Build a repeatable playbook of checklists, templates, and tools to scale the integration process.
  • Embed in diligence to surface integration risks early and inform deal structure.
  • Translate lessons from completed integrations into sharper diligence, structuring, and pricing for future deals.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to design, document, and scale operational processes with extreme attention to detail.
  • Track record of building trust with senior external stakeholders through high-stakes transactions or transitions.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to delivering outstanding results for acquired and portfolio companies.
  • Ability to operate autonomously while maintaining the highest standards of quality and service.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to understand and connect with diverse audiences.
  • Thrive in a high-energy, fast-paced environment with a bias towards action.
  • Take extreme ownership over the results of your work and seek opportunities to improve and create value.
  • Energized by challenges, view failures as opportunities to get stronger, and comfortable navigating ambiguity.
