About the Role
The Head of Integration will architect and scale the process of how their portfolio companies integrate and operate tuck-in acquisitions. This is a high-impact role reporting directly to leadership, collaborating closely with CEOs and executives of portfolio companies. The integration process is cross-functional, spanning legal, finance, operations, and technology, and the Head of Integration will own the process from term sheet signing through the first six months post-close. Building trust with owners of selling companies and their teams is crucial for driving satisfaction and references, with a focus on client retention and minimizing disruption.
Responsibilities
- Own the integration of every acquired property management firm from term sheet signing through six months post-close.
- Establish and drive to completion a checklist and timeline for every acquisition.
- Quarterback workstreams across legal, finance, property management operations, HR, and software vendors.
- Run post-integration reviews to verify business operations and surface support gaps.
- Build trust with owners of selling firms, establishing credibility with portfolio company leaders.
- Manage relationships with employees and customers of acquired firms to ensure retention.
- Build a repeatable playbook of checklists, templates, and tools to scale the integration process.
- Embed in diligence to surface integration risks early and inform deal structure.
- Translate lessons from completed integrations into sharper diligence, structuring, and pricing for future deals.
Requirements
- Demonstrated ability to design, document, and scale operational processes with extreme attention to detail.
- Track record of building trust with senior external stakeholders through high-stakes transactions or transitions.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
