About the Role

Advancing Analytics is seeking a technical generalist to support non-engineers in building applications. This role involves working across low-code platforms, Python scripting, integrations, and debugging, with a focus on unblocking users and ensuring business-built tools are safe and maintainable.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of technical support for business users building their own applications, reviewing configurations, advising on architecture and tooling, and resolving issues without creating bottlenecks.
  • Perform diagnostic and debugging activities across bespoke applications and business-built tools.
  • Ensure business-built applications meet organizational standards for security, resiliency, supportability, and data handling.
  • Register all business-built applications in the systems catalogue with sufficient documentation for handover and future support.
  • Provide hands-on technical input for evaluating new tools or platforms, assessing integration, security, and operational fit.
  • Maintain and improve shared templates, reference implementations, and reusable components.
  • Contribute to joiner, mover, and leaver processes across business systems to manage digital footprints.

Requirements

  • Hands-on technical generalist across M365, Power Platform, and SaaS administration.
  • Experience supporting business-built, low-code, or citizen-developer applications in a corporate environment.
  • Comfortable reading, reviewing, and lightly editing code and configuration written by others, including AI-assisted output.
  • Good documentation discipline.
  • Debugging mindset, willing to investigate logs, code, and integrations.
  • Strong communication skills with non-technical users.
  • Comfortable operating within defined frameworks and raising concerns when necessary.

Skills

  • Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams, Exchange)
  • Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI)
  • Entra / Azure AD fundamentals
  • Python (scripting, light automation, data wrangling, API integration)
