About the Role

The Schwarzkopf Foundation Young Europe strengthens young people in actively shaping democracy and developing European perspectives. Through events, educational programs, youth networks, awards, and scholarships, the foundation offers young Europeans opportunities for meeting and exchange, personal development, and active democratic participation. This role supports the executive board with organizational and content-related tasks, focusing on the GeDAB project.

Responsibilities

Support the executive board in daily operations, including calendar and appointment scheduling, and meeting and travel preparation and follow-up.
Conduct thematic research on democracy education, reducing discrimination in early childhood education, and current political and social developments.
Assist in identifying funding opportunities, preparing grant applications, and maintaining contact with funders.
Contribute content and organizational support to foundation projects, including the network 'Common Democracy Building in Early Childhood Education' (GeDAB).

Requirements

Structured and reliable work approach with the ability to manage parallel tasks.
Previous experience in organizational support, assistance, public relations, or project work.
Willingness to learn new tools and topics.
Interest in topics such as democracy education, reducing discrimination, and/or early childhood education.

The non-partisan Schwarzkopf Foundation Young Europe was founded in 1971 by Pauline Schwarzkopf.
For five decades, the foundation has aimed to promote pan-European understanding, combat right-wing extremism, antisemitism, and racism, and strengthen young Europe.
Young people contribute to social cohesion and play a crucial role in shaping Europe.
We support them in developing political awareness and a vision for the Europe they want to live in.
