About the Role

This position combines communication skills, coordination ability, process understanding, and basic technical knowledge. It requires a personality that mediates between users, departments, IT teams, and external service providers, structuring technical and organizational topics. The focus is on coordinating, developing, and integrating clinical applications and digital processes, understanding requirements, bringing stakeholders together, making solutions understandable, and reliably supporting their implementation. The role is part of a shared team effort where stable operation, user support, functional interfaces, and successful digitalization depend on close coordination, mutual support, and transparent collaboration within the KIS team.

Responsibilities

  • Coordination between departments, internal IT teams, external service providers, and user groups.
  • Recording, structuring, and evaluating functional requirements and their translation into technically and organizationally feasible solutions.
  • Support in planning, coordinating, and implementing digital projects and introducing new medical or IT-related devices and applications.
  • Coordination of updates, migrations, tests, and acceptances in collaboration with departments, the IT department, and external partners.
  • Accompanying and moderating coordination meetings, workshops, and working groups.
  • Analysis and documentation of clinical and administrative processes to make workflows more understandable, efficient, and reliable.
  • Participation in the standardization, stabilization, and further development of clinical IT and digitalization processes.

Requirements

  • Completed degree in Computer Science or comparable qualification.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, especially in collaboration with departments, users, IT teams, management, external partners, and the KIS team.
  • Experience with clinical information systems, ideally including interfaces (HL7/FHIR), databases, and IT operations processes.
  • Experience in hospital operations and a good understanding of clinical and administrative workflows.
  • Ability to structure, coordinate, and reliably follow up on requirements and topics with colleagues.
  • Experience in coordinating technical, organizational, or process-related topics.
  • Structured, solution-oriented, and reliable working method.
  • Ability to communicate complex issues understandably and appropriately for the audience.
  • Organizational skills, sense of responsibility, social competence, and pragmatism, even with unclear requirements.
