About the Role
Citi is seeking Summer Analysts for their Capital Markets (Debt Capital Markets - DCM and Equity Capital Markets - ECM) team in Sydney. This 10-week internship program provides intensive training in advanced accounting, financial modeling, and valuation techniques, alongside on-the-job experience. Interns will advise corporate clients on capital raising activities, including IPOs, equity placements, bonds, and loans, acting as a strategic advisor to facilitate equity capital or debt solutions. Top performers may be eligible for the Graduate Analyst Program in 2028.
Responsibilities
- Compile, analyze, and assimilate financial information.
- Research market moving events and relevant live deals to prepare client-ready presentation materials.
- Become familiar with equity, bond, or loan offerings and play a fundamental role in deal origination and execution.
- Understand market factors and parameters for pricing equity, bond, or loan offerings.
- Work hard, be proactive, and contribute to the team in a dynamic and stimulating work environment.
Requirements
- Must be in your penultimate year of university pursuing a degree in any discipline.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Basic knowledge in finance and accounting.
- Adaptability and resilience to work in a high-pressure environment.
- Capacity to multi-task.
- Intellectual curiosity and proactive eagerness to learn.
- Strong attention to detail with commitment to accurate and high-quality work product.
- Team player with excellent communication skills.
- Competent PowerPoint and Excel skills.
- Motivated individuals with a genuine desire to develop an understanding of the market environment and capital raising process.
- Must include an updated CV (including ATAR/GPA/WAM), cover letter addressed to Citi, and academic transcript.
- ATAR score is required to be included in the CV or as a separate document.
