About the Role

Citi is seeking Summer Analysts for their Capital Markets (Debt Capital Markets - DCM and Equity Capital Markets - ECM) team in Sydney. This 10-week internship program provides intensive training in advanced accounting, financial modeling, and valuation techniques, alongside on-the-job experience. Interns will advise corporate clients on capital raising activities, including IPOs, equity placements, bonds, and loans, acting as a strategic advisor to facilitate equity capital or debt solutions. Top performers may be eligible for the Graduate Analyst Program in 2028.

Responsibilities

Compile, analyze, and assimilate financial information.
Research market moving events and relevant live deals to prepare client-ready presentation materials.
Become familiar with equity, bond, or loan offerings and play a fundamental role in deal origination and execution.
Understand market factors and parameters for pricing equity, bond, or loan offerings.
Work hard, be proactive, and contribute to the team in a dynamic and stimulating work environment.

Requirements

Must be in your penultimate year of university pursuing a degree in any discipline.
Strong numerical and analytical skills.
Basic knowledge in finance and accounting.
Adaptability and resilience to work in a high-pressure environment.
Capacity to multi-task.
Intellectual curiosity and proactive eagerness to learn.
Strong attention to detail with commitment to accurate and high-quality work product.
Team player with excellent communication skills.
Competent PowerPoint and Excel skills.
Motivated individuals with a genuine desire to develop an understanding of the market environment and capital raising process.
Must include an updated CV (including ATAR/GPA/WAM), cover letter addressed to Citi, and academic transcript.
ATAR score is required to be included in the CV or as a separate document.
