About the Role
The Pharmacy Technician – Strategic Response Team (SRT) demonstrates Level II technician competencies while supporting AHF's mission. This role requires sensitivity to the stigma of PLWH, understanding barriers to care, and maintaining patient anonymity. You will work within a collaborative, nimble environment to facilitate patient care and medication treatment plans.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate Level II technician competencies per AHF Pharmacy Policy
- Maintain sensitivity to the needs and privacy of patients with chronic diseases
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, staff, and referral sources
- Facilitate the exchange of patient demographics and medication treatment plans
- Uphold AHF Core Values and Mission in all activities
Requirements
- Valid State of California Pharmacy Technician license without restrictions
- Willingness to obtain licensure in two additional states within one year of employment
- 1-2 years of work experience in a hospital, retail, or specialty pharmacy
- Familiarity with Medicaid or ADAP programs
- Experience handling patient billing or insurance claims
- Proficiency with pharmacy systems and Windows PC applications
