About the Role
A Service Administrator oversees and coordinates the daily operations of a service department. They bridge the gap between customers, field technicians, and management by managing work orders, billing, and customer inquiries to ensure efficient, high-quality service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Create, track, and close out customer work orders and repair tickets in collaboration with the Service Manager.
- Compile paperwork, price services, process invoices, and handle basic bookkeeping or purchase order tracking.
- Greet clients, field incoming calls or emails, schedule appointments, and assist in resolving service-related complaints.
- Track parts availability, order necessary supplies, and manage technician timesheets.
- Maintain detailed customer records, warranty claims, and service logs, often utilizing CRM software.
Requirements
- Strong ability to multitask, schedule, and manage high volumes of documentation.
- Excellent verbal and written skills for handling customer complaints and liaising with technical teams.
- Experience with service management software, CRM systems, and spreadsheet programs like Excel.
- High School graduate or equivalent, 18 years or older required.
- Must be able to work in a drug-free workplace.
