About the Role
Mercury Studios is a music-first content studio seeking a creative curator and digital content manager to oversee the digital distribution of its growing slate of catalogue and new content across various platforms, with a primary focus on YouTube. You will work directly with the VP of Channel Management to ensure content is curated engagingly for audiences.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a lead digital curator, creating clips and highlights from the music library for exploitation across digital channels, primarily YouTube.
- Generate and repurpose content from archives for digital distribution.
- Manage the upload schedule for all digital media.
- Develop and create new channel brands with the SVP of Digital Content to grow audience and exploit the music A/V catalogue.
- Collaborate with the VP of Channel Management to build and grow new channels on YouTube and other platforms.
- Manually edit and clip content to populate the MCN with unique short-form video.
- Work with the media team to organize and process the short-form database.
- Support marketing and content teams with creative promotional ideas for new and catalogue content releases.
- Contribute to the global digital content strategy with creative ideas for content formats and channel partnerships.
- Collaborate with the larger UMG digital team to release content across YouTube and beyond.
- Support content aggregation, distribution, and creative strategies for new platforms like FAST and AVOD.
- Monitor digital media trends, platform updates, and best practices.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Channel Manager.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage paid media campaigns.
- Experience clipping their own material.
- Strong writing skills and attention to detail.
