About the Role
We are seeking a Strategic Account Manager to manage and grow a key relationship with a major German network operator. This role serves as the primary interface between Hitachi and the client, ensuring our solutions meet their strategic objectives and drive sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive account strategy for long-term growth and customer satisfaction.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership.
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities tailored to the client’s needs and challenges.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Coordinate internal teams (sales, technical, product development) to deliver customized solutions.
- Provide regular reporting on account status, strategy, pipeline development, and revenue forecasts.
- Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to optimize Hitachi’s positioning.
- Represent Hitachi at industry events and conferences.
Requirements
- Degree in engineering, computer science, business administration, or a comparable qualification.
- 8–10 years of experience in strategic account management or business development within the energy sector.
- Strong regional expertise and deep understanding of the challenges, regulations, and technologies relevant to major network operators in the region.
- Demonstrated success in cultivating senior-level relationships and managing complex accounts.
- Proven ability to identify and close new business opportunities.
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
- Proficiency in Dutch/Flemish, and/or French is a plus.
- Willingness to travel within Germany and internationally.
- Ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly and translate them into actionable business opportunities.
- Analytical thinking combined with strategic vision.
