About the Role
As a Lead Network Engineer, you will lead the design, building, testing, implementation, and operation of Camden’s corporate network. You will stay updated on the latest cloud and on-premise technology offerings and best practices for configuration and monitoring. You will contribute to cloud migration strategy, governance, and best practices, manage a team of Network Engineers, and ensure critical network infrastructure is designed and optimized for security, high availability, and disaster recovery. This role involves collaborating with the Information Security Team to ensure compliance with ISO27001, PCI-DSS, and PCN standards, building and securing new cloud platforms, and improving the legacy on-premise environment for cost-effectiveness and agility.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, building, testing, implementation, and operation of Camden’s corporate network.
- Stay up to date with the latest technology offerings, both cloud and on-premise, and best practices for configuration and monitoring.
- Contribute to cloud migration strategy, governance, and best practices.
- Manage a team of Network Engineers.
- Ensure critical network infrastructure is designed and optimized for security, high availability, and disaster recovery.
- Collaborate with the Information Security Team to ensure compliance with ISO27001, PCI-DSS, and PCN standards.
- Build, secure, and run new cloud platforms and systems.
- Improve the legacy on-premise environment to make technology services more cost-effective and agile.
- Act as a Network Evangelist, supporting DDS to raise the profile of IT within the business by building relationships with customers and colleagues.
Requirements
- Extensive experience managing a complex multi-site network based on IP-VPN and SD-WAN.
- Experience migrating services to a cloud environment, preferably Microsoft Azure.
- Experienced problem solver who can work on initiative and with others to identify creative and innovative solutions.
- Adaptable and flexible approach to work.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage a complex and varied workload.
- Deep expertise in one or two areas and baseline skills and knowledge across a wide range of IT technologies.
- Relevant professional certifications and experience to demonstrate capabilities and fit for the role.
- Communication and interpersonal skills are critical.
