About the Role
Within our Behavioural Science practice, we research and apply the latest thinking in cognitive psychology, social psychology, and behavioural economics. We bring together behavioural science and creativity to solve interesting and important challenges for influential organisations, creating effective interventions, communications, and experiences across various sectors.
Responsibilities
- Drive medium complexity/scale projects and support large scale/complexity projects under Director guidance.
- Lead primary and secondary research, ensuring scientific rigour tailored to client needs.
- Distill research findings into strategic and creative opportunities.
- Develop and facilitate ideation workshops and behavioural interventions.
- Champion creativity and nurture project creative output, refining applications of behavioural science.
- Delegate project deliverables to Analysts, reviewing and providing feedback.
- Manage day-to-day client communications, build relationships, and lead client meetings.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and expectations.
- Manage relationships with third-party suppliers.
- Maintain Ogilvy Consulting standards of excellence in consulting, rigour, and creativity.
- Proactively participate in business growth conversations with clients.
- Draft new business proposals for Director approval.
- Contribute to agency pitches.
- Contribute to thought leadership and events like The Annual and Nudgestock.
Requirements
- An undergraduate degree is a minimum requirement; a Masters or beyond is beneficial.
- Subjects may include psychology, biology, humanities/social sciences, and economics.
- Demonstrated application of academic knowledge is prioritized over specific discipline.
- Ideally 4-6 years of experience in consultancy, client strategy, or equivalent strategic role.
- Fluent knowledge of behavioural science, key concepts, and theories.
- Ability to interpret research from quantitative and qualitative sources (academic literature, ethnographic data, complex datasets).
- Confident, engaging, and inspiring presenter capable of translating academic insights into a business context.
- Ability to build strong external and internal client relationships and offer constructive challenge.
- Champion creative ideas and creative approaches to research.
- Willingness to help others, create a positive working environment, and provide constructive feedback.
- Experience and capability with AI integrated into workflow.
- Strong credentials (academic and/or work experience) in cognitive psychology, social psychology, and/or behavioural economics.
- Proven ability to practically apply knowledge to find innovative problem-solving ways.
- Hyper curiosity about people, their behaviours, and decision-making.
- Exposure across Ogilvy practices and ability to work on projects developing skills in Brand & Marketing Innovation, Business Transformation, and Sustainability.

- Behavioural science principles, heuristics, and biases.
- Fundamentals of psychology and behavioural economics.
- Understanding of industry trends and innovations in behavioural science applications.
- Qualitative and quantitative research skills (including desk research and primary consumer research).
- Ability to draw critical human and cultural insights from data and observation.
- Strong business acumen and critical thinking.
- Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to take initiative and work independently and within a team.
- Ability to delegate, provide constructive feedback, and manage project team members.
- Excellent organization and time management skills with multitasking ability.
- Strong work ethic with superior attention to detail.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint).
- Strong use of AI and experience with AI automated workflows.
