About the Role
Novatus is seeking a Senior Consultant to support the delivery of complex resilience and risk engagements, focusing on regulatory-driven change and organizational improvements. You will work closely with senior leaders and clients to apply analytical skills and industry knowledge to deliver sustainable regulatory and risk outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver non-financial risk and control transformation projects
- Drive control simplification projects including re-design and framework simplification
- Manage changes within complex client environments across first and second lines of defense
- Lead resilience-related engagements and ensure compliance with new regulations
- Embed and strengthen operational resilience capabilities including governance, risk appetite, testing, and reporting
- Align resilience and risk approaches across overlapping regulatory regimes to reduce duplication
- Produce high-quality client deliverables such as reports, briefing papers, and presentations
- Build and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted advisor
- Contribute to business development through proposal writing and thought leadership
- Coach and provide technical guidance to junior team members
- Stay current on regulatory developments and industry best practices
Requirements
- Experience in management consulting, risk advisory, regulatory consulting, or in-house financial services risk/compliance
- Experience owning or supporting complex risk transformation projects
- Experience owning or supporting resilience compliance projects
- Experience in risk management and operational resilience framework design and implementation
- Experience in regulatory change delivery and engagement with UK or global regulators
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills
- Ability to work effectively in complex, fast-paced environments
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
