About the Role
McAfee is seeking an experienced Security Researcher to design and deliver robust, scalable security solutions. This role involves real-time analysis of cyber threats to provide immediate protection through security products, helping customers stay safe online and promoting greater cybersecurity awareness.
Responsibilities
- Investigating threats and vulnerabilities affecting Android and iOS mobile platforms.
- Conducting in-depth, low-level analysis of malware, devices, and operating systems.
- Creating research content such as blogs, conference papers, and technical presentations.
- Exploring and developing next-generation mobile threat protection technologies.
- Collaborating with researchers and engineers to strengthen McAfee’s leading security solutions for customers.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in security research.
- Hands-on expertise in Android or iOS, and/or Linux operating systems.
- Proficient in Android or iOS debugging techniques, including identifying malicious code and performing assembly-level analysis.
- Ability to debug and reverse-engineer Java bytecode, Dalvik, and ELF file formats using tools such as IDA Pro, JEB, or similar disassemblers.
- Solid understanding of networking protocols.
- Solid understanding of cloud technologies like AWS.
- Solid understanding of secure engineering practices.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language.
- Proactive, innovative mindset.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage and influence diverse audiences.
