About the Role
This role is focused on the overall success of swim programs and the delivery of exceptional swim classes to children and adults. Responsibilities include providing a safe environment, maximizing revenue, controlling costs, and ensuring an enjoyable learning experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide heartfelt service and exceptional swimsters management in line with customer experience strategy and brand standards.
- Manage the delivery of the swim experience, creating an engaging and entertaining environment for learning.
- Oversee a wide range of swimming age and skill levels, ensuring proper assessment.
- Ensure all interactions are warm, queries are answered, and feedback is handled effectively.
- Maximize timetabling efficiencies, maintain ratios, and oversee day-to-day bookings.
- Ensure all swimster areas are safe, clean, and reflect the highest standards.
- Advocate water safety, swim survival skills, and maintain awareness of child protection law.
- Ensure an overall safe environment for students, carers, and the team.
- Recruit, coach, develop, and motivate the swimsters team to achieve agreed targets.
- Work to achieve membership and revenue goals while operating within agreed expense budgets.
- Liaise with the HOD team to assess, monitor, and improve swimster strategies and support the team.
Requirements
- AUSTSWIM certificate
- 2+ years leadership experience in a swim school
- First aid certification
- Flexibility to work a non-traditional schedule
- Working with Children Check
- Experience creating educational and entertaining swim lessons
- Experience building trust and safety
- Well-versed across various ages and skill levels
- People-focused with enjoyment in teaching children to swim
- Warm, honest, and genuine demeanor
- Ability to connect with anyone and communicate effectively at all levels
- Authentic self-expression and ability to build trust
- Perceptive, inquisitive, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage time effectively and handle feedback and complaints skillfully
