About the Role

Open Door Family Medical Centers is seeking a Dental Patient Service Representative for its Port Chester, NY location to assist in the provision of dental services. This role is crucial in facilitating patient flow and ensuring a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities

  • Collect patient information, including insurance, copays, and contact details, for entry into eCW.
  • Facilitate patient flow by notifying providers of arrivals, managing delays, and communicating with patients and staff.
  • Respond courteously to inquiries from patients, prospective patients, and visitors.
  • Provide patients with necessary forms, office policies, and legally required documents.
  • Schedule appointments for new and recurring patients based on provider availability.
  • Process payments from patients for uninsured services.
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility.
  • Call patients to remind them of upcoming appointments.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
  • Superior customer service skills and experience.
  • Flexible and solutions-driven.
  • Responsive and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment with diverse providers.
  • Passionate about providing high-quality care to low-income, underserved residents and those lacking access to health care.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
