Responsibilities
- Accompany clients in designing their individual enterprise architectures to implement future digitalization initiatives in the cloud and on-premise, considering current technologies and latest trends.
- Develop digital target images of authority architecture and guide the digital transformation of the organization from IT strategy development to implementation projects.
- Manage Enterprise Architecture and drive the modernization of authority infrastructure.
- Create architecture roadmaps, guidelines, and principles, considering security, data protection, and compliance aspects.
- Design the client's IT strategy, including a strategy for handling legacy systems, especially in the context of modernization.
- Analyze current trends in technical architecture and draw conclusions for technological decisions and consulting orientation with various clients.
- Accompany transformation projects from the IT strategy and enterprise architecture perspective together with IT system architects, process experts, and development teams.
- Design future-proof system architectures and guide concrete transformation projects from planning to implementation.
- Integrate new applications and standard software into complex client IT landscapes.
- Take technical responsibility for the conception, redesign, modernization, and implementation of complex IT system architectures for partially highly available IT systems.
- Define, document, and manage interfaces between IT systems.
- Prepare and make architecture decisions in coordination with the client.
- Advise clients holistically on all aspects of IT system architectures, focusing on one or more areas: Cloud Computing, IAM, business applications, virtualization, Microsoft ecosystem.
- Elevate the development of public digitalization projects to a new level, from sketch to finished application architecture.
- Take responsibility for architecture and solution design, developing maintainable, scalable systems.
- Consider functional requirements, quality goals, and framework conditions in architecture design.
- Define and manage interfaces within and outside the system.
- Collaborate with stakeholders from business units, management, and development.
- Take technical responsibility for projects focusing on the respective architecture and drive relevant architecture and design activities.
- Continuously develop professionally and personally, and learn about new technologies and tools.
- Work closely with interdisciplinary teams.
Requirements
- Successfully completed studies in (Business) Informatics, Applied (Business) Mathematics, Physics, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a comparable MINT degree.
- Several years of relevant professional experience depending on the role: IT strategy and Enterprise Architecture Management (Enterprise Architect), IT transformation and modernization projects (IT System Architect), software development projects (Software Architect).
- Experience with architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, ArchiMate, arc42) and common tools (e.g., LeanIX, BizzDesign, Enterprise Architect) for the Enterprise Architect and IT System Architect roles.
- Proficiency in common project management methods like PMI, Prince2, or Scrum.
- Ability to structure complex issues and present them understandably.
- Willingness to travel nationally and internationally to optimally advise clients on-site.
- Very good German and English language skills.
