About the Role
The LARM team delivers relevant and reliable information on financial reporting, analysis, risk, capital, and value to stakeholders. This role involves supporting complex calculations within the life insurance reporting system, specifically focusing on IFRS, VNB, and local statutory valuations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit cashflows for data hub including quality assurance
- Extract and supply data/cashflows including quality assurance
- Investigate issues and respond to questions
- Run ad hoc models
- System testing
- Run AXIS models, implement coding changes, and check results within AXIS
- Identify and recommend model improvements resulting in improved efficiency and controls
- Contribute to the production of change control documentation covering models and assumptions
- Data Reconciliations
- FSRI (Accounting) Data Extractions
- Provision of FSRI upload files
- Specify and run VICE models and extract results
- Assist with the completion of statutory returns
- Assist the Head of Valuation and Appointed Actuary with special projects and other LARM activities, as required
Requirements
- Some Life insurance experience (e.g. from reinsurance, insurance or consulting environments)
- Ability to identify and investigate issues
- University degree, with details of university academic performance (e.g. WAM, GPA, or equivalent grading system) included in the resume is required
- IAA Part I exams or equivalent completed

- Strong MS Excel skills
- Ability to present work topics within LARM
- AXIS Projection Software
- VICE models
