About the Role

Northrop Grumman Australia is seeking an entry to mid-level team member for its Cyber Security Operations Centre (CSOC). This role focuses on defending enterprise networks against sophisticated threat actors, offering exposure to real incidents, modern tooling, and continuous capability development in a proactive, hands-on environment.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze logs and alerts, conduct threat hunting, and perform incident investigation and response.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the security posture.
  • Uplift and tune security controls including IPS, email gateways, EDR, and SIEM tooling.
  • Assist with improving processes and technologies.
  • Support the secure evolution of the environment, including M365, cloud technologies, and emerging capabilities.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in a SOC role.
  • Solid understanding of networking.
  • Solid understanding of common attack techniques.
  • Solid understanding of basic incident response concepts.
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Ability to collaborate well with others.
  • Must be an Australian Citizen.
  • Must satisfy police checks and employment screening verification.
