About the Role
Join AMP's Wealth Data & Analytics team to shape how Superannuation, Retirement, and Platform data are transformed into actionable insights, regulatory reporting, and better customer outcomes. This role operates at the intersection of data, technology, governance, and business strategy, partnering with stakeholders to build trusted data assets and deliver impactful analytics.
Responsibilities
- Deliver reliable, assured, and timely data supporting better outcomes for customers, members, investors, and stakeholders.
- Support regulatory reporting and business intelligence for effective obligation monitoring and informed decision-making.
- Maintain a strong focus on data quality, completeness, accuracy, and integrity for product-related data.
- Maintain data rules, data models, and logic for regulatory reporting, business intelligence, and ad hoc analysis.
- Support continuous data governance and delivery capabilities.
- Uplift the breadth, depth, and quality of Wealth product-related data in response to business needs and regulatory expectations.
- Source new or enhanced internal and external data assets for the Wealth Data Model.
- Maintain oversight of data flows from source systems and data models for regulatory and business reporting.
- Work with data stewards, domain owners, and IT infrastructure teams to remediate data errors and quality issues.
- Orchestrate data rules, tables, reports, and Power BI visualizations.
- Engage with SMEs to understand and document systems and processes that create and maintain data.
- Support exploratory analysis requests, data profiling, reconciliation, metadata capture, and solution design for integration.
- Identify and develop controls and integrity checks to ensure ongoing solution quality.
Requirements
- Experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or Senior Data Analyst in a complex data environment.
- Experience in superannuation, investments, or insurance environments is preferred.
- Experience working in agile delivery environments and contributing to data-related projects and delivery models.
- Proficiency with data profiling and reporting tools.
- Proficiency with data environments such as Amazon Redshift and data lake platforms.
- Proficiency with SQL, Power BI, Python, and Airflow.
- Experience or familiarity with data governance and metadata tools such as Profisee, Talend Metadata Manager.
- Experience or familiarity with data modeling tools such as Erwin.
- Highly developed data literacy and a strong attention to detail.
- Tenacious commitment to accuracy and full understanding.
- Advanced troubleshooting and data analysis capability, including extracting, profiling, and reconciling data.
- Strong engagement and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across business, technical, and data communities.
- Business analysis skills to document existing processes and data flows, and to capture new requirements clearly.
- A proactive and self-motivated approach.
- Ability to manage ambiguity, multiple tasks, conflicting deadlines, and tight delivery timeframes.
- Ability to adapt from BAU to the ambiguous with ease.
