Responsibilities
- Maintain, modify, and fabricate tools to meet manufacturing needs.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings for tool design.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve workflow and tool efficacy.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments in the tool maintenance process.
- Document maintenance activities and tool modifications for inventory management.
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment.
- Operate Wire EDM machines and ensure quality assurance through meticulous checks.
- Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with safety standards in the tool room.
- Engage in problem-solving activities to address any tool-related issues promptly.
- Train and mentor junior staff in tool room operations and safety measures.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a tool room or similar manufacturing environment.
- Experience in tool fabrication, maintenance, and modification.
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and technical drawing interpretation.
- Hands-on experience with power tools and machining processes.
- Knowledge in inventory management and maintenance documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to adhere to safety protocols and standards within a manufacturing setting.
