About the Role

As a Membership Services Volunteer, you will assist Membership Staff, build relationships with members and staff, and act as a positive role model demonstrating knowledge of the YMCA mission and core values. You will help maintain fun and safe Membership Service areas.

Responsibilities

  • Provide tours for members and guests.
  • Provide information to members and guests regarding pricing, programs, and services.
  • Follow proper procedures for facility access and child protection.
  • Provide excellent customer service.
  • Address behaviors inconsistent with Y Core Values.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Manager/Supervisor of the Member Services Team.
  • Complete all online trainings, program training, and WHY School.
  • Adhere to all COVID-19 rules and regulations.
  • Act as an Ambassador for the YMCA.

Requirements

  • Minimum age: volunteers entering grade 9 are considered.
  • Original Criminal Reference Check with a Vulnerable Sector Screening less than 6 months old for volunteers 18 years and older.
  • Minimum commitment of 4 months, 2 hours/week.
