  • Program CNC machines utilizing CAM software and CNC programming skills to optimize machining processes.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings to ensure parts meet design specifications.
  • Set up tooling, fixtures, and workpieces accurately using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
  • Conduct routine machine maintenance, tool changes, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime and maintain optimal performance.
  • Utilize electrical discharge machining (EDM) techniques when required for complex or hard materials.
  • Follow lean manufacturing principles to improve workflow efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance safety standards.
  • Assist with assembly processes when necessary, ensuring parts are correctly fitted and finished according to specifications.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of production runs, quality checks, and machine settings for traceability.

Requirements

  • Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC mills and CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages like G-code and M-code.
  • Skilled in blueprint reading, GD&T interpretation, and mechanical measurements using precision tools like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and CMM.
  • Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM), plastics injection molding processes, welding techniques, and power tools is advantageous.
  • Ability to troubleshoot machine issues quickly while maintaining safety standards.
  • Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machining parameters.
  • Knowledge of tooling setup, fixture installation, and the use of hand tools for machining adjustments.
  • Ability to work effectively on 2nd or 3rd shifts in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high attention to detail.
