About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Mechanical Engineer to join our forward-thinking engineering team. Your expertise will drive the development of cutting-edge solutions, ensuring they meet industry standards and client specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to complex system design, manufacturing processes, and product development in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Create and refine mechanical components and processes using CAD software.
  • Develop prototypes and oversee testing to validate design functionality and performance.
  • Ensure components meet customer specifications.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality, and procurement, to support project objectives.
  • Communicate technical findings and project updates to stakeholders.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables to ensure successful execution.
  • Assist in the transition of components to production.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams to resolve production challenges.
  • Support process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Maintain accurate engineering documentation, including technical drawings, processes, and specifications.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable industry standards and regulations.
  • Ensure compliance with Rand’s AS9100 Quality Management System

Requirements

  • Experience in Defense related Manufacturing is a plus.
  • Experience with CNC machining is a plus.
  • Prior Management Experience is a plus.

Skills

  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or Creo).
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of materials science, manufacturing processes, and mechanical systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication and project management skills.

Education Level

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field Preferred.
