About the Role

As a Manufacturing Engineer/Estimator, you will ensure production continuity and product quality by collaborating with machinists, engineers, supervisors, and managers. You will resolve technical issues, review specifications, and support quoting efforts by developing processing methods for complex Aerospace components.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write, test, and optimize CNC programs using CAD/CAM technology.
• Check completed programs by running simulations or tests on Vericut.
• Develop and describe machine setups, including workpiece and tool positioning.
• Provide CNC programs, posted code, set-up documentation, and tooling information.
• Lead a Manufacturing team for successful product execution, including machine floor prove-outs.
• Create and approve final work instructions for development and production hardware.
• Generate estimates for new hardware and enter them into the quoting system.
• Participate in or lead Design for Manufacturing meetings.
• Support production by answering process questions and resolving non-conformance issues.
• Implement lean process improvements to meet schedule and cost targets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering, or an associate's degree with direct experience.
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with heavy CNC machining/programming.
• 10+ years of Manufacturing Experience may substitute for a degree.
• Manufacturing experience in a machine shop with a solid understanding of manual machine methods.
• Hands-on experience running CNC Mills, Lathes, EDM, or Grinding equipment.
• Proven experience machining parts from start to finish using manual turning and milling operations.
• Specific knowledge and experience in CAD/CAM technology and methodology (NX, Mastercam, Espirit, and Mazatrol).
• Experience working closely with shop floor personnel to solve issues.
• Must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
