About the Role

Support the plant quality system, working with suppliers and customers to meet company objectives for new product development and improvement of existing product lines. Analyze problems and provide solutions internally and to external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Create quality documents and develop Standard Operating Procedures for manufacturing.
  • Maintain and revise Quality Assurance Procedures and Instructions to ensure ISO 9001 and AS9100 registration.
  • Perform internal audits and identify quality system improvements for compliance with ISO 9001:2015 & AS9100D.
  • Maintain product inspection control plans.
  • Identify and determine quality requirements to meet customer needs.
  • Work with manufacturing staff to ensure quality protocols are followed and documentation is maintained.
  • Implement changes or adaptations based on quality reviews.
  • Complete and submit First Article Inspection documents to customers.
  • Maintain and apply knowledge of statistical process control concepts.
  • Investigate non-conformances and assist teams in determining corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in a quality function within a manufacturing environment.
  • Combination of Engineering, Inspection and Document Control experience.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and AS 9100D.
  • Knowledge in statistical process control concepts such as variation, stability, and process capability.
  • Experience in the metal cutting industry preferred.
  • Use of dimensional inspection tools and coordinate measurement machines.
  • Experience with PFMEA/Control Plans/PFD.
  • Six Sigma experience and/or ASQ CQE preferred.
  • Background in defense, aerospace, or automotive industries.
