About the Role

art-K is seeking Self-Employed Party Assistants to support its arty birthday parties on weekends. You will ensure the success of each 2-hour party session, including setup and cleanup, fostering creativity and a positive environment for children.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Party leader in creating an ambient studio environment for the party.
  • Set up music and prepare projects according to the birthday person’s requests.
  • Assist the Party leader with art workshops for party-goers.
  • Foster a positive and encouraging environment, sparking creativity and experimentation.
  • Maintain high cleanliness standards by tidying up the studio after each class.
  • Support children to complete their art projects, offering guidance and encouragement.
  • Support the Party leader with a shake break or mini dance party midway through the workshop.

Requirements

  • Working towards an art A level, Foundation, or Art degree.
  • Sufficient knowledge in various art mediums, including watercolour, acrylics, and air-dried clay.
  • Experience working with children from Year 1 (aged 5-6) and upwards (desired).
  • Positive, proactive, and customer-service-oriented attitude.
