About the Role

Maintains, installs, converts, and configures gaming devices on an assigned shift according to departmental plans and layouts. Participates in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and utilize Apple iPods with accompanying software known as “Kai” to assure a high quality of guest service.
  • Exhibit a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner when dealing with guests and fellow associates.
  • Perform paper refills and clear jams, bill retrievals, and bill validator jams on machines, or follow through if more in-depth repair is needed.
  • Handle guest transactions, such as cash and pay-outs, and other transactions as required.
  • Responsible for setup of game options and testing various devices, e.g., Bill Acceptors.
  • Perform Pay tables and Reel Strip Test and verify Bonus awards.
  • Perform case-by-case analysis and troubleshooting in interpretive situations of technical performance of gaming devices.
  • Perform daily or scheduled preventative maintenance on gaming devices.
  • Install, build conversions (game kits), and reconfigure pre-planned floor layouts.
  • Safeguard all assigned assets upon install, build, conversion (game kits), or reconfiguration.
  • Use approved electronic test equipment when repairing or maintaining gaming devices.
  • Responsible for accurate wiring, game chips, game boards, optioning of games, and safety and security of all electrical components.
  • Maintain confidentiality of game optioning as they relate to par levels and hold percentages.
  • Wear assigned safety-approved clothing and equipment during the build (game conversion), move, install, and maintenance of gaming devices.
  • Comply with the gaming compact and any other necessary regulatory requirements.
  • Work varied shifts as required by operational needs.
  • Provide support for technical inquiries and hands-on technical training of other tech support staff.

Requirements

  • Must have understanding of Basic Electronics and Electricity.
  • Must have basic understanding of Electronic and Electrical troubleshooting.
  • Ability to read and translate wiring diagrams.
  • Tools and experience using tools is required.
  • Basic Knowledge of Player Tracking components.
  • Must obtain and maintain a New York State certification and St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Gaming Class III Gaming License.
  • Requires an extensive background check.
  • Successful candidates must submit to and pass a drug test for illegal substances prior to employment confirmation.
