About the Role
Responsible for performing front desk functions including check-ins, check-outs, reservations, answering telephones, providing wake-up calls, and offering information about hotel facilities, functions, and locations. Requires flexibility, reliability, and the ability to work scheduled shifts.
Responsibilities
- Exhibit a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner towards guests and associates.
- Seek ways to improve service and reduce customer wait times.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Register guests into the computer system, verifying reservations, addresses, and credit information.
- Accurately check guests in and out, preparing and completing necessary paperwork and ensuring payment.
- Ensure housekeeping cleans all rooms before issuing keys.
- Post charges, settle accounts for individuals, groups, and check-outs.
- Receive cash, credit cards, and comps, obtaining proper approval and authorization.
- Maintain an operating bank, render bills, and issue change.
- Provide reservations for casino/hotel guests, including restaurants and special events.
- Ensure timely delivery of messages, mail, and packages for guests and departments.
- Collaborate with Player Development/Guest Services and Hotel Sales and Catering to provide amenities.
- Resolve guest problems and complaints promptly, courteously, and efficiently.
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Typing and data entry ability.
- Ability to sit and use the telephone.
- Must obtain and maintain a St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Gaming Work Permit.
- Must pass a drug test for illegal substances prior to employment confirmation.
Skills
