About the Company
- The voice of independent gas stations.
- The Bundesverband freier Tankstellen e. V. (bft) represents over 530 independent medium-sized companies in the gas station, mineral oil, and heating oil trade sectors.
- Members operate more than 2,800 stations, accounting for nearly one in five gas stations in Germany.
- Members often use the bft trademark, signifying their affiliation with the association and a strong brand presence.
- The bft and its member companies are committed to contributing to greenhouse gas-neutral mobility, viewing gas stations as modern providers of existing and renewable energies, including (green) electricity, hydrogen, and sustainable biogenic and synthetic fuels (e-fuels).
- The bft, in collaboration with the German Association of Medium-sized Energy Businesses (MEW), initiated eFuel-Today to advocate for the use of synthetic fuels.
