About the Role

As a Senior Accountant at JUNA, you will be responsible for the complete reporting cycle across our European companies, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of financial information as we continue to grow. You will work closely with external accounting partners in multiple countries and serve as the internal point of contact for group-level financial integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of group reporting and ensure adherence to agreed deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with German accounting standards (HGB) and applicable tax regulations.
  • Identify opportunities for accounting process optimization and support system implementations as JUNA grows.

Requirements

  • Completed commercial apprenticeship (e.g., industrial clerk, office clerk) with at least 2 years of accounting experience, or alternatively at least 5 years of relevant professional practice.
  • Further training as a certified accountant (IHK) or a degree with a focus on accounting/finance is advantageous.
  • Fluent German (C1) is required for HGB compliance and communication with stakeholders of our German companies.
  • Fluent English (C1) is needed for cross-border coordination with our European accounting partners.
  • Sound knowledge of HGB (German Commercial Code/German accounting standards) is a prerequisite.
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in accounting, ideally in a small to medium-sized company or joint venture with international ownership.
  • Experience in managing accounts payable/receivable and in conducting monthly and annual closing processes.
  • Knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems; experience with consolidation tools is advantageous.
  • Sharp and detail-oriented; you spot errors before they become problems and value numerical accuracy.
  • Proactive and structured; you organize your work independently and flag issues early without being prompted.
  • Reliable under pressure; you know closing cycles have firm deadlines and plan accordingly.
