About the Role

The Faculty Fellowship is an intensive, eight-week programme that bridges academia and real-world impact, embedding participants directly into high-stakes commercial environments. Fellows will apply advanced machine learning techniques to solve complex, ambiguous problems for clients, turning theoretical knowledge into high-value deployable solutions. It serves as a fast-paced launchpad designed to accelerate technical growth, build commercial acumen, and empower participants to shape the future of artificial intelligence.

Responsibilities

  • Apply advanced machine learning techniques to solve complex, ambiguous problems for clients.
  • Turn theoretical knowledge into high-value deployable solutions.
  • Tackle a commercial data science project with a host company.
  • Present your work at Demo Day to 100+ guests and industry leaders.

Requirements

  • Hold a finished PhD or Master’s degree in a STEM subject.
  • Possess a strong foundation in data science or machine learning.
  • Have a high level of mathematical competence.
  • Solid experience with theoretical concepts like hypothesis testing, Bayesian inference, and neural networks.
  • Strong programming skills, particularly in Python.
  • Comfortable navigating core data science coding libraries.
  • Possess an entrepreneurial mindset, showing resilience and autonomy to structure project plans and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Thrive in fast-paced, ambitious environments with a drive to learn and deploy new technologies.
  • Hold full-time UK right to work (visa sponsorship is not offered).
