About the Role

Assist children and adults, collaborating with their system of care, in working toward recovery and reducing the impact of mental health symptoms through effective assessment, intervention, and ongoing evaluation of treatment effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual, group, and family therapy services at a school-based satellite clinic location and main clinic sites.
• Assess each client’s mental health strengths and needs in accordance with the most current edition of the DSM / ICD 9 codes and pertinent regulatory and agency standards.
• Intervene to prevent further psychological or physical decline for clients at risk.
• Collaborate with the client’s continuum of care providers, including psychiatric and primary health providers.
• Ensure full client engagement in the therapeutic process through consistent attendance and contributions to treatment planning.
• Complete and maintain intake assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and all required documentation within regulatory timeframes.
• Collaborate with the child and family to develop a diagnosis and treatment plan that meets medical necessity while honoring the child’s needs, goals, and identities.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with all relevant requirements.
• Meet established productivity expectations.
• Participate in the 24-hour on-call clinical rotation for crisis support.
• Adhere to Gateway's Code of Conduct and Code of Ethics.
• Participate in clinical supervision, case consultation, staff meetings, and trainings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory staff.

Requirements

• Excellent documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as an enthusiastic team player.
• Ability to work evening hours 1-2 nights per week.
• Ability to work and travel to a School Based Satellite location and the Main Clinic location.
• Knowledgeable in Evidence Based behavioral interventions and assessments.
• Ability to work effectively with clients, staff, families, and community contacts.
• Must be license-eligible, hold a provisional license (LMHC-P or LMSW permit), or be fully licensed as an LMSW, LCSW, or LMHC.
• LMSW candidates should be eligible for or actively pursuing their “C” designation.
• LMHC candidates should be eligible for or actively pursuing their Diagnostic Privilege/Permit.
• Candidates may qualify under grandfathering provisions with appropriate exemption documentation.
