About the Role

Lead clients in navigating ambiguity, inspiring teams to achieve high-quality results, and apply sound judgment in a dynamic healthcare landscape while maintaining scientific integrity. Help clients define their needs, design evidence programs, and communicate findings to inform strategic decisions or external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Shape briefs into proposals.
  • Design analytical approaches.
  • Run project delivery, including technical and management aspects, across multiple disease and clinical areas.
  • Defend the appropriate level of rigor, including assumptions, methods, uncertainty, and quality control.
  • Manage stakeholder alignment, change management, and project momentum.
  • Build trust with senior clients and challenge constructively.
  • Design and run evidence generation projects that withstand scrutiny and peer review.
  • Lead delivery with clarity on scope, pace, and quality.
  • Inspire leadership skills in others and guide technical development through direction, delegation, and feedback.
  • Communicate complex work and evidence to enable decisions.

Requirements

  • Experience within a consultancy or professional services environment.
  • Confidence in managing projects, people, and clients.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities for navigating complex, technical projects across diverse healthcare evidence challenges.
  • Strong analytical capability.
  • Sector insight.
  • Ability to shape evidence-based solutions that influence healthcare decisions.
  • Experience delivering healthcare research, analysis, and synthesis across disease areas or clinical contexts.
  • Strong technical delivery skills.
  • Project leadership experience reflecting the value of diverse backgrounds and cross-disciplinary, cross-cultural training.
  • Ability to creatively draw on diverse methodologies (qualitative and quantitative) to design optimal approaches for clients, especially for novel problems.
  • Ability to design analytical approaches that generate evidence for healthcare decision-making and communicate it clearly.
  • Willingness to deliver for large global commercial clients, SMEs, academic research teams, and charities.
  • Adaptable and flexible thinking, responding effectively to change and uncertainty.
  • Ability and enthusiasm to tackle health-related problems across diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, health interventions, healthcare policy, or guideline development.
  • Strong client relationship skills, with the ability to identify and interpret client needs, wants, and worries.
  • Ability to influence, guide, and collaborate with senior stakeholders.
  • Clear and thoughtful communication skills, translating complex ideas into accessible messages.
