About the Role
The Primary Schools Manager will lead the planning, coordination, delivery, and development of the Trust's Primary Schools programme, specifically managing the Premier League Primary Stars initiative. The role involves building school partnerships, managing programme staff, monitoring quality, and ensuring outcomes align with Premier League Charitable Fund and Trust objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day management of the Premier League Primary Stars programme.
- Coordinate high-quality provision across partner schools.
- Manage programme timetables, staffing, and resources.
- Ensure delivery meets agreed targets, outcomes, and funding requirements.
- Monitor performance and implement improvements.
- Manage project budgets and maximize value for money.
- Produce reports and updates for stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain relationships with Headteachers and PE Leads.
- Act as the primary point of contact for partner schools.
- Conduct review meetings to evaluate impact and identify opportunities.
- Promote the wider education offer, including teacher CPD and enrichment.
- Line manage Primary Stars Officers and casual coaching staff.
- Support recruitment, induction, and onboarding of staff.
- Conduct coaching observations and performance reviews.
- Oversee delivery of PE lessons, teacher mentoring, and classroom interventions.
- Maintain accurate records using systems like VIEWS and Salesforce.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and equality policies.
Requirements
- Experience delivering PE, physical activity, or sport in primary schools.
- Experience coordinating or managing programmes across multiple schools.
- Experience line managing or supporting coaching staff.
- Experience building relationships with schools and external partners.
- Experience monitoring programme quality and evaluating impact.
- Experience working towards programme targets and KPIs.
- Understanding of the PE National Curriculum.
- Awareness of Primary Stars or similar school-based education programmes.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Understanding of the role of sport in improving educational and social outcomes.
- Degree or relevant education qualification.
- Level 2 Sports Coaching Qualification or above.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- In-date DBS, Emergency First Aid, and Safeguarding qualifications.
