About the Role
Answers all incoming calls in a prompt and courteous manner, transfers calls to appropriate departments, and assists callers and guests with general information. Promotes positive guest relations and responds quickly to emergency calls and situations according to policies and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Exhibits a friendly, helpful and courteous manner when dealing with guests and associates.
- Answers all incoming calls in a prompt and courteous manner, directing calls to appropriate personnel or department.
- Performs clerical duties when necessary.
- Relays and records verbal messages.
- Transfers calls to the appropriate person requested by the caller.
- Assists callers and guests with general information in a courteous and timely manner.
- Responds to emergency calls and situations quickly and according to policies and procedures.
- Provides exceptional guest service to all internal and external guests.
- Operates multi-line telecommunications systems.
- Operates intercom to conduct announcements, address the public, or page appropriate personnel.
- Familiarity with all Casino promotions.
- Other duties as assigned by Hotel Front Desk Manager.
Requirements
- Must have full working knowledge of multi-line telecommunications systems.
- Must obtain and maintain a St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Work Permit.
- Requires a background check for employment purposes.
- Must submit to and pass a drug test for illegal substances prior to employment confirmation.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Sedentary work.
- Requires talking and answering phone calls.
- Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects.
Skills
- French language proficiency is an asset.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area circumference, and volume.
