Bartlett Cocke General Contractors is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join their team in Austin, TX.

Study blueprints, sketches, or building plans to determine material requirements and suggest appropriate lumber or other materials.
Prepare layouts using rulers, framing squares, transits, and level instruments; mark cutting and assembly lines on materials.
Assemble, cut, and shape materials, fastening them with nails, dowel pins, glue, or screws.
Erect, climb, and work on scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures at heights up to 100 feet or below ground level at depths down to 50 feet.
Verify the trueness of structures using a plumb bob and carpenter’s level.
Erect framework for structures and lay sub-flooring.
Construct forms and chutes for pouring concrete.

HS Diploma or equivalent required.
One (1) + years of construction experience required.
Knowledge of operating electric and pneumatic tools.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Must be able to pass pre-hire screenings.
Skill in mathematics; addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of units of measure.
May be required to travel between, to and from jobsites.
Ability to travel within a 50-miles radius from Kyle, TX is the expectation.
