About the Role
Coordinates and ensures food and guest service standards are met in the Restaurant, Cascades Lounge Bar, beverage service areas, and gaming floor areas. Requires knowledge of or ability to learn the EZ Labor payroll system for revisions and edits.
Responsibilities
- Exhibit a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner towards guests and associates.
- Address guest complaints regarding service, food, and beverages.
- Possess knowledge of all positions within the beverage service area to assist associates.
- Maintain visibility to ensure compliance with safety standards and liquor regulations.
- Conduct pre-shift meetings, inspect wardrobe, manage weekly scheduling, and PTO coverage.
- Ensure associates sign in/out properly and have adequate break coverage.
- Assist management with promotional programs.
- Oversee gaming floor F&B operations in the absence of an Assistant Floor Manager.
- Oversee restaurant operations in the absence of a Manager.
- Ensure adequate staffing levels for shifts.
- Learn or have knowledge of the Micros system.
- Become TIPS certified and demonstrate comprehension of the training.
- Ensure smooth operations for special events in beverage service, floor, or other areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Regularly required to stand and walk for long periods.
- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Must obtain and maintain a St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Gaming Work Permit, which requires a criminal background check.
- Must submit to and pass a drug test for illegal substances prior to employment confirmation.
- Required to attend all mandated trainings and receive certification if needed.
