About the Role
Operates cash register, balances monies, coupons, comps, and receipts. Requires flexibility, reliability, and responsibility for scheduled shifts. Exhibits a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner.
Responsibilities
- Exhibits a friendly, helpful, and courteous manner with professionalism when dealing with guests and associates.
- Takes food orders and collects payments from guests.
- Delivers food & beverage orders to bingo guests.
- Addresses patron complaints to the Supervisor.
- Learns or has knowledge of the Micros system.
- Operates, balances, and totals receipts on the register during and at the end of the shift.
- Remains current on all applicable coupons, promotions, and certificates.
- Inspects dining room serving stations and areas for neatness and cleanliness.
- Cleans all required areas throughout the shift.
- Calls housekeeping via radio for spillage, wet floors, etc.
- Orders, receives, and restocks paper products, condiments, etc. for the dining room and serving stations.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Manager.
Requirements
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Must obtain ServSafe Certification.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
- Ability to perform basic math problems, add and subtract two-digit numbers, and multiply and divide with 10s and 100s.
- Ability to perform math operations using units of American money, weight measurement, volume, and distance.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Must obtain and maintain a St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Work Permit.
- Requires a criminal background check.
- Must submit to and pass a drug test for illegal substances prior to employment confirmation.
