About the Role

Protects company assets and provides a safe environment for guests and associates.

Responsibilities

  • Exhibits a friendly, helpful and courteous manner when dealing with the public and fellow associates.
  • Provides security at various postings in gaming facility to maintain order through company regulations & policies.
  • Performs chip and credit transactions, money and marker transfers, verifies amounts by signature, in accordance with company and state guidelines.
  • Destroys used cards and dice as assigned and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensures a safe environment for guests and associates.
  • Maintains building entrance postings, controlling access into the casino to ensure compliance with state, federal and Tribal gaming regulations.
  • Maintain the safety and security of casino guests and new associates.
  • Writes incident reports as required.
  • Conducts mobile patrols of exterior grounds and reports damages/vandalism and variance in any company asset.
  • Operates in conjunction with casino surveillance, identifying problematic guests on the property.
  • Provides escort for money deliveries.
  • Reports in writing table game discrepancies.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests and other associates of the organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • The associate must occasionally move or physically restrain people.
  • The associate must occasionally lift and/or move over 100 pounds.
  • Must obtain and maintain a New York State certification and St. Regis Mohawk Tribal Gaming Class III License which requires a criminal background check to be used solely for employment purposes.
  • Successful candidates for employment must submit to and pass a drug test for illegal substances prior to employment being confirmed.
