About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Fabricator to join our Maintenance Department, where you'll play a critical role in maintaining and repairing the forms used to manufacture our precast concrete wall systems. In this hands-on role, you'll use your welding, fabrication, and problem-solving skills to build, repair, modify, and maintain steel forms and components essential to our production process.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect forms and components for wear, damage, and dimensional accuracy using precision measuring tools.
  • Verify measurements to ensure all forms meet required specifications and quality standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to accurately fabricate or repair components.
  • Cut, grind, bend, shape, and weld steel and other materials using fabrication equipment and tools.
  • Heat and manipulate materials using hand torches to achieve proper fit, alignment, and specifications.
  • Fabricate new components and repair existing forms to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency.
  • Develop templates and standardized processes for repetitive fabrication tasks.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on production forms according to established schedules.
  • Identify opportunities to improve form design, durability, and fabrication processes.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all company safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Experience with welding, metal fabrication, and equipment repair.
  • Experience with sheet metal presses/brakes; light gauge steel fabrication is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Experience operating fabrication equipment, including grinders, shears, torches, and cutting tools.
  • Commitment to producing high-quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the maintenance and production teams.
