About the Role
As a Senior Regulatory Reporting Business Analyst in the Insto Markets area, you will support the manager of regulatory reporting to ensure ANZ’s Markets business complies with OTC derivative reporting regimes including ASIC, CFTC, G20, Korea, and MiFID commitments. The role involves supervising and monitoring OTC Derivative reporting and managing the implementation of remedial releases.
Responsibilities
- Identify issues affecting the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of OTC derivatives reporting to global regulators.
- Perform Business As Usual (BAU) for OTC Regulatory Reporting (G20, MiFiD, and/or Korea).
- Investigate identified issues to root cause and communicate business impacts to management and Compliance.
- Provide business requirements based on identified issues to internal tech and/or vendors.
- Manage remediation, including pre/post implementation testing, trade replay, and sign-off.
- Apply understanding of Non-Financial Risk frameworks to tasks.
- Engage with stakeholders including Front/Middle Office, Compliance, and Technology to identify issues and perform risk-based remediation.
- Communicate analysis clearly for MIS reporting streams.
- Identify reporting/control gaps for key risks and develop solutions.
- Manage and improve operational workflows for regulatory reporting activities.
- Collaborate with teams to resolve data quality, reporting timelines, and compliance issues.
- Support the management of regulatory reporting projects.
- Mentor junior regulatory reporting business analysts.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of regulatory reporting frameworks, including COREP, FINREP, EMIR, MiFID II, CRD IV, Basel III, or other relevant regulations.
- Ability to provide analysis and feedback on regulatory projects/initiatives.
- Track record of delivering regulatory change and/or process improvement to BAU.
- Experience with Murex 2.11, 3.10, Microsoft Excel (VBA), Access and SQL analytical skills.
- Ability to develop a thorough understanding of process flows.
- Ability to work under pressure to investigate and remediate anomalies/issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with internal and external stakeholders.
