About the Role

Welcome visitors to iconic destinations and help connect people with New Zealand’s unique landscapes, recreation opportunities, and conservation stories. Responsibilities
- Protecting threatened species and supporting biodiversity outcomes
- Undertaking pest control and wildlife monitoring activities
- Maintaining iconic DOC huts, tracks, structures, and campgrounds
- Welcoming visitors and sharing conservation stories at our visitor centres
- Supporting habitat restoration and native species recovery projects
Requirements
- Hold a valid NZ work visa that covers the duration of employment
- Capabilities match the role and are passionate about making a difference for conservation
- Have heart, not just those who tick every box
