About the Role
Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Reservations Agent to join our team for the summer season. The Agent will be responsible for handling guest reservations via phone, email, and online booking platforms while ensuring a seamless and personalized experience for each guest.
Responsibilities
- Capture sales from incoming reservation calls and coordinate details of each reservation.
- Accurately convey room types, pricing, and availability to guests.
- Complete internal reservation forms and maintain accurate records.
- Run daily reports for the Reservations department.
- Answer general reservation inquiries via phone and email, retrieve and distribute mail.
- Call to confirm and/or guarantee non-guaranteed reservations and clear waitlisted bookings.
- Greet guests in a warm and professional manner, ensuring all interactions meet Forbes-level hospitality standards.
- Handle guest complaints and inquiries in accordance with Gurney’s Resorts' policies, ensuring resolutions that uphold the guest experience.
Requirements
- Previous experience in customer service
- High School Diploma or G.E.D
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Must be fluent in English
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule (8-hour shift)
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Occasional walking, standing, and reaching to access files or office materials.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed.
- Must be able to wear a headset for extended periods while handling phone calls.
